Hungry Hearts Needs You - Lend a Hand

Hungry Hearts provides food, clothing, blankets, and personal care items to disadvantaged residents of Atlanta’s inner city.   As the needs of the community and ongoing expenses increases, please consider lending a hand by becoming a donor.

Currently, Hungry Hearts is an all-volunteer, home-based organization which means our overhead is minimal and the majority of all non-restricted donations are used for funding our community programs.  But we can only do so much without your help.

You can lend a hand in one or more ways.

  • Donate Money - We accept credit/debit cards, checks, money orders, and cash.  Credit/debit cards are processed by PayPal, but you do not need to have a PayPal account to donate.  Please make checks payable to Hungry Hearts.
  • Donate Goods – We accept clothing, blankets, canned goods, personal care products, and special items dependent on the event we are hosting.
  • Donate Your Time – Volunteers are always needed.  Contact us and let us know when you are available.
Hungry Hearts was granted its 501(c) (3) Nonprofit Status by the IRS in 2015 which means your donation is tax-deductible.

Thank you in advance for lending a hand to uplift a life.

Feed the Hungry Program

To Help Them Survive ...

Hungry Hearts provides food to Atlanta's homeless and low-income residents monthly.  On any given day, anyone could find themselves facing a financial crisis, homelessness, or hungry.

Your donation could help us increase the number of meals served, as well as the frequency.

Social Services Program

To Help Them Live ...

Hearts provides various need-based social services to the community --- from mass distribution of clothing to utility assistance.

If we are unable to help directly, Hungry Hearts will use its wide network of friends to ensure that the client will get the referral to "make it happen".

Your generous donation will "make it happen" a lot quicker.

Fundraising Events

To Help Us Help Them ...

Hungry Hearts organizes and participates in various fundraising events throughout the year to build up our resources ---"school supplies" drive, "food" drive, "personal tragedy" drive, "fun day" ticket sales, etc.

If you can't participate, please consider a one-time or monthly donation.

A dollar or two can go a long way.

Hungry Hearts Atl on G+

In 2018, D.R. Green created a Hungry Hearts Atl collection on Google Plus to allow those users to follow or discuss the issues that affect Atlanta’s inner city low-income residents and their neighborhoods.

In the near future, expect more related articles to be published on the website. Because the website's blog is linked to the collection, Hungry Hearts Atl's Google users will have the choice of interacting via this blog community or Google+ community.

An extension of HungryHeartsAtl, the BOSSYposse Facebook Group was formed in 2017 to help small business women meet their goals so that they can thrive within their business.

The group meets once a month.  And at the end of the year, they host an Expo so members can display their goods and/or services to the public, thus achieving greater exposure for their business venture.

An extension of HungryHeartsAtl, the BlendingInAtl Facebook Page was created in 2016 to promote "positive" blended families.  The members offer advise and support to those who may be struggling with some issues within their blended families, including singles with children who are dating.

The aim of the group is to encourage growth within the family which will ultimately strengthen the community as a whole.
